I am a linguist and translator with a passion for multilingualism, human-machine interaction, institutional communication, onomastics, and terminology.
 MY BACKGROUND
My academic journey began in 2015, when I finished my BA in Translation and Interpreting (University of Córdoba, Spain). After this, I expanded my skills through two MAs: Audiovisual Translation, Localisation, Subtitling, and Dubbing (ISTRAD/University of Cádiz), and Legal and Financial Translation (University of Córdoba). In 2017, I completed a translation traineeship at the Spanish Unit of the European Parliament in Luxembourg, where I translated institutional and legislative documents from English and German into Spanish.

I also have a background in language didactics. I hold a postgraduate certificate in teaching Spanish as a foreign language (University of Córdoba, 2016) and an MA in English Didactics for Secondary Education, Vocational Training, and Public Language Schools (Valencian International University, 2024).
 MY RESEARCH
The EU translation traineeship was a turning point in my career, paving the way to pursue a PhD. I received my PhD in Linguistic, Literature, and Translation at the University of Málaga in 2024, under the supervision of Prof. Gloria Corpas Pastor. My thesis is titled English < > Spanish Translation and Interpreting of Proper Names in the European Union Discourse.

One of my thesis publications caught the attention of Enrique Gutiérrez Rubio, professor of Spanish language and translation at Palacký University Olomouc (UPOL). Under his supervision, I currently work on a postdoctoral MSCA project at Palacký University. The NAIMES project focuses on evaluating AI translation performance in three language combinations (EN/DE/CS > ES), with particular attention to ChatGPT, onomastics, and the translation of proper names in national parliamentary discourse.

My recent publications also explore proper names in tourist translation and multimodal translation in social networks.
 MY TEACHING
Over the course of my career, I have taught languages and translation at various educational levels, both in my home country, Spain, and abroad.

I have been working as a university teacher for almost a decade. My experiences include Loyola Andalucía University (2016), University of Málaga (2017-2025), and currently, Palacký University Olomouc (2025-). Most of my teaching has involved English <> Spanish translation, with a focus on legal and institutional translation, audiovisual translation, and technological tools and resources. As my second specialisation is practical language teaching, I have also taught university courses on English language and culture, and Spanish language now at UPOL.
I am also familiarised with secondary-level language education. After finishing my BA, I worked as a government-funded Spanish language assistant in two high schools of Styria, Austria (2016), and completed a short practicum of English teaching in vocational training (CES Ramón y Cajal, Spain, 2024).
