The latest advances of the NAIMES project were presented at the Annual Meeting of the Czech Association of Hispanists, held this year in České Budějovice, Czech Republic.

My 15-minute talk was titled “En busca de un método para evaluar la traducción de nombres propios generada por ChatGPT (EN/DE/CS > ES)”. As the name suggests, the presentation explained the recent advances in methodology through the application of the MQM translation framework and showed qualitative examples of errors related to proper names, which were discovered in the German > Spanish experiment.

Participating in this event served as outstanding continuation of my first talk in last year’s Annual Meeting of the Czech Association of Hispanists, where a shorter presentation (5 min.) introduced NAIMES context, goal, and scope to the Czech community of experts and teachers of Spanish.
